Dr. Ayala Hendin is an Israel institute fellow at Washington University of St. Louis. Her main area of interest is the intersection between socioeconomic and civic stratification. Her current research focuses on this intersection within diversity, equity, and equality (DEI) policies in Israeli higher education. Hendin previously taught at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (2018-2022) and held a postdoctoral fellowship at the Minerva center for human rights at Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2022). She received her Ph.D. from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (2021).
