David Barak-Gorodetsky is the director of the Ruderman Program for American-Jewish Studies at the University of Haifa and a Shalom Hartman Institute of North America Kogod Center Research Fellow. His research interests include political theology, Jewish-American history and religious thought, and Israel and world Jewry relations. Dr. Barak-Gorodetsky's recent publications include: Judah Magnes: The Prophetic Politics of a Religious Binationalist (JPS & University of Nebraska Press, 2021), and “Religion and State in Israel-Diaspora Relations –a Social-Covenant Approach” (Israel Studies, 2022). He received his Ph.D. from the University of Haifa (2016).
