David Katz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Haifa. Dr. Katz's fields of interest are political and economic geography, global environmental politics, water policy, and environmental economics. Much of his research has focused on transboundary water management and policy, both globally and in the Middle East, specifically. He is currently editing a book on the role of technologies in international water policy and publishing works on how desalination changes both domestic water policy as well as international relations. Dr. Katz also working on economic incentives for instream water use. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan (2008).
