Asaf Levanon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Haifa. The main question driving his work is how institutions affect labor market behavior. His work focuses on both the regulative and constitutive roles of social institutions and draws on research focusing on the sociology of work, life-course research, economic sociology, demography, and social psychology. He is especially interested in the role that social policy plays in shaping ethnic, gender, and class inequality in the labor market. Dr. Levanon received his Ph.D. from Stanford University (2010).
