Yoav Gelber was formerly an Israel Institute Grant Recipient. Gelber is professor emeritus of history at the University of Haifa with expertise in Jewish history and the history of the Israel Defense Forces. Gelber earned a Ph.D. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
