Gayil Talshir is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and established and led the center for Advanced Public Policy and the program for Top Civil Servants in Public Policy as well as the President’s Program for Academic Leadership at Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Professor Talshir's research focuses on the crisis of legitimation of advanced democracies, party system change, political ideologies, and Israeli politics. She recently led two research groups and published two books on higher education – contemporary dilemma, and governability and democracy. Her new book, Judocracy: the Netanyahu Era, will be released in 2022 (SUNY Press). Dr. Talshir received her Ph.D. from the University of Oxford (1997).
