Steven Davidoff Solomon is Professor of Law and Faculty Director at UC Berkeley’s Center for Law, Business, and the Economy. A specialist in corporate law, he writes a weekly column for the New York Times and is the author of Gods at War: Shotgun Takeovers, Government by Deal and the Private Equity Implosion. Prior to entering academia, he practiced as an attorney in New York and London. He holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.A. in finance from the London Business School, and a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law. He actively volunteers in the Jewish community and has served as an officer or on boards of several different organizations.
