Erika Falk
Erika Falk, Ph.D., is the chief operating officer (COO) and program director of the Israel Institute. Previously she was the founding executive director of the Executive Education Department at the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University, program director of the Master of Arts in Communication program at Johns Hopkins, and research director of the Washington office of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania. Falk has published many articles and two books. Her first book, Women for President: Media Bias in Nine Campaigns, is about how the media cover women candidates (2010, University of Illinois Press). Her second book, Becoming a New Instructor: A Guide for College Adjuncts and Graduate Students​ (2012, Routledge), is a step-by-step manual for first-time teachers. Falk earned her Ph.D. in Communication from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a Master’s degree in Speech Communication and a Bachelor’s degree in Politics.
